About Me

I am an IP professional with over 7+ years of experience in working in-house in multinational corporations.

I have earned a Bachelor’s Pharmaceutical Technology from India’s Top Chemical Engineering Institute, ICT (formerly UDCT)¹.

I have a Master’s in Intellectual Property Law from MIPLC in Munich².

I am a qualified Indian Patent agent and training to qualify as a European Patent Attorney.

Currently, I live and work in Switzerland as IP Manager at medmix responsible for 3 business segments : Dental, Industry and Surgery, managing IP matters of 100+ products.

What is IP (Intellectual Property) ?

Intellectual Property (IP), as the name suggests, is a form of ‘’Property’’, just like any other proprty like a house or car, that is born or created by human Intellect.

IP is an Intangible form of property that can be possesed, bought, sold and enforced.

IP rights can be registered i.e you need to apply for registration OR IP can be unregistered.

IP rights such as patents, and trademarks are exclusionary right. That means geting a patent allows the patent owner to ‘’exclude’’ someone else from making, using, selling, importing the patented product.
